Since its announcement in January 2023, Anyone But You has become one of the most highly anticipated rom-coms of this year. Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell, two of the show’s main actors, have generated a lot of buzz. It’s easy for viewers to imagine the dynamic between these two leads based on the first images taken on set.
Anyone But You, directed and co-written by Easy A’s Will Gluck, is an R-rated romantic comedy film that has been compared to Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. Two former rivals are thrown back together during a destination wedding and must pretend to be a pair “for better or worse.”
The film Anyone But You was revealed at the beginning of the year, and a preview for it was shown at CinemaCon 2023, when it was also teased by directors Powell and Sweeney. The cast members have been sharing production photos from the set of Anyone But You on their social media pages, so it seems safe to assume that this film will usher in a new era of steamy romantic comedies.
The movie is finally getting its long-awaited debut in theaters, and it won’t be until December. Find out when the film will be released, who will be in it, and more by reading our comprehensive guide below about Anyone But You.
