Showrunner and actor Scott Ryan has confirmed that the fourth season of Mr. Inbetween will not be aired and that the show has come to an end.
During an interview in May 2021, Scott Ryan told News.com.au that he was ready to wrap up the series after the third season.

In both writing and acting, I’m still getting better. I feel like I haven’t hit my stride yet,” he told the publication about his first professional gig.
“The best is yet to come, and that’s exciting,” he continued.
Mr. Inbetween Season 4 Release Date: When Is It?
As previously mentioned, the third and final season of the Australian series Mr. Inbetween marked the series’ natural conclusion.
Originally commissioned for Australian channel FX, Mr. Inbetween premiered on Showcase after the departure of FX Australia between the commission and the release of the series. The shooting took place in several Sydney locations.
As of October 9, 2018, a third season was confirmed to air on September 12, 2019, while the second season was re-upped on October 9 and aired on September 12, 2019, respectively. After three seasons and a total of twenty-six episodes, the show came to a close on July 13th, 2021 with its final airing.
This means there will be no fourth season, nor will there be an announcement of a release date.
