There were so many unanswered questions in Season 1 of Foundation that we’re eagerly anticipating the resolutions that will come in Season 2. There’s a lot we don’t know about Foundation Season 2, but here’s what we do know so far.
Foundation Season 2 Release Date
In October 2021, Apple announced the renewal of Foundation for a second season before the final episode of Season 1 aired in November 2021. The exact release date of Foundation Season 2 has yet to be announced. For the second season of Foundation, principal photography is currently taking place in the Canary Islands, according to Leah Harvey’s Instagram post. Foundation Season 2 may return to our screens in the fall or winter of 2022.
Foundation Season 2 Cast: Who Will Return For Foundation Season 2? Will There Be New Cast Members Joining Foundation Season 2?
Foundation Season 2 will feature a recast of the original season’s cast. In addition to Jared Harris, Lou Lobell and Leah Harvey will continue to portray Hari Seldon, Gaal Dornick, and Salvor Hardin. Laura Birn as Eto Demerzel, Lee Pace as Brother Day, Terrence Mann as Brother Dusk, and Cassian Bilton as Brother Dawn are some of the other actors returning to their roles.
As new characters are introduced in Foundation Season 2, new actors will join the cast. Kulvinder Ghir will play Poly Verisof, Sandra Yi Sencindiver will play Enjoiner Rue, and Dimitri Leonidas will play Hober Mallow. Isabella Laughland, formerly of Harry Potter fame, will play Brother Constant.
Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw’s Ella-Rae Smith, Ben Daniels as Bel Riose, Holt McCallany as Warden Jaegger Fount, and Mikael Persbrandt in The Warlord of Kalgan will also appear in the upcoming film.
Rachel House from Cowboy Bebop will portray Tellem Bond, and Nimrat Kaur will portray Yanna Seldon in the upcoming film adaptation. Only six of the ten new characters introduced in the television series appear in the books.
