David Zayas and C.S. Lee, the actors who played Angel Batista and Vince Masuka, are expected to return for the upcoming season. Season 8 ended with Debra Morgan being declared dead, so I’m not sure if Jennifer Carpenter will reprise her role as her.
There have been rumours about Carpenter returning to Dexter in the future to play her character in flashbacks and dreams or memories, according to showrunner Clyde Phillips. “There’s a little bit of magic in the movies.”
What’s that? This “he said that to Us Magazine” is the only thing I can say about it. Whether she’ll return is still up in the air, as Phillips hasn’t explicitly stated. That’s a question he’s unable to answer at the moment.
Screen Rant has confirmed for the first time since season 9 was announced that John Cusack will also be a part of it. In the movie, Cusack is said to be playing a character named Kurt, who could be a good target for our main baddie. A revival of the show may even use Clyde Phillips’ original ending. He came up with the idea of taking Dexter into custody and putting him to death on his own. At this point, Dexter is visited by visions of the killers he has previously killed (LaGuerta, the Trinity Killer, and Doakes) (via Digital Spy). During Season 9, Dexter may eliminate another serial killer before he is brought to justice for his crimes.
It was on February 25 that Showtime released the first image of Michael C. Hall in his famous role.
