Darren Waller’s NFL Journey
He is a seasoned tight end in his sixth season with the Raiders after joining the active roster from the Baltimore Ravens training squad during Week 13 of the 2018 season. Over his career, Waller has occurred in 65 games with 46 starts, totaling 270 receptions for 3,184 yards and 16 accepting touchdowns.
He joined Raiders great TE Todd Christens as the second tight end in the franchise’s past to collect at least 1,000 accepting yards in back-to-back seasons. He also became the only tight end in club history to have at least 90 receptions and 1,000 yards in successive seasons.

Darren started all 11 games in 2021 and had 55 bashes for 665 yards and two touchdowns. In 2020, he was named to the Pro Bowl after publishing career highs with blowouts (107), receiving yards (1,196), and receiving touchdowns (nine) while also tying his team record of five 100-yard games the previous year.
Waller beat Hall of Fame WR Tim Brown’s previous record for most catches in a single season (104 in 1997) with 107. He is only the sixth tight end in NFL history to have more than 100 fetes in a single season, and his 107 receptions rank third all-time among NFL tight ends.
He became only the second tight end in NFL history to have at least ten fetes, 200 yards acquiring, and two touchdown receptions in a single game. Waller achieved career highs in every significant mean metric in 2019, with 90 bashes for 1,145 yards and three touchdowns.
