Compared to Flappy Bird, 2048 is a game that’s both addictive and challenging enough to keep things interesting. Using this guide is the key to success!
Combine tiles numbered with powers of two to get the value of 2048 in the 2048 puzzle game. Characters or other objects may be combined in some versions of Minecraft, such as 2048. The way you play, on the other hand, is the same.
Gameplay involves swiping tiles in various directions to combine them in the direction they were swiped, and any tiles that match the direction and the adjacent spot will combine. If you like strategy games like Threes, 2048 is for you! This is how the starting board appears:
The game’s basic mechanics are moving tiles around, but it’s a complex puzzle game with a lot of strategies involved.
Playing is enjoyable, but winning is even more so. To win the 2048 game, you must devise a plan of attack. The strategy outlined here is just one option, but it has proven to be extremely effective. These strategies will help you succeed even though the game’s randomness conspires against you.
This 2048 game strategy can be broken down into a few key elements:
Two directions are all you need (as much as possible)
Tiles should never be moved up.
Tiles should be kept clean.
Focus on the end goal.
As needed, aggressively combine both horizontally and vertically.
Below, I go into great detail about these processes, and I also include some helpful tidbits that will help you improve your game even more.
Use only two directions (as much as possible)
The tiles can be shifted in four different directions. They’re going up, down, and to the right. Your tiles can be moved down and left with little or no risk. The tiles will remain in the lower-left corner of the screen as a result of this.
It’s best to save moving tiles right until you’re ready to move them down, such as when combing tiles. If you want to move your tiles to the right, there are a few drawbacks, such as trapping a tile on the left side, that must be considered. Before moving to the right, make sure the bottom row is full. Below, I discuss the issue of trapped tiles.
Never move your tiles up!
At all costs, you should avoid moving your tiles up. If you don’t need to raise your tiles, you’ll be in for a lot of headaches. It’s sometimes necessary, but if you can make a different choice, do so!
Keep your tiles tidy
In addition to keeping your tiles in the lower-left corner, there are many other factors to consider. Also, keep your highest tiles away from the bottom left of the board. If you have a board like this, you should not be using it:
There will be issues with the 128 in the lower-left corner. This is an easy fix if the tile has a value of 32 or less, but this isn’t always possible. There will be major problems if tiles are out of place (64 and above).
Here’s a board that’s a lot neater: The 2 on the left are not trapped because tiles can be dropped on it, and the tiles on the right (32 or less) are relatively low in value:
Having tiles that are out of sync or in two equal piles that are far apart from each other is the most common problem in this game. Reuniting tiles that are on opposite sides of another tile is next to impossible without a little luck. Get rid of it by using the following advice!
Focus on your goal: 2048
Make sure to take a look at the board regularly, even if this advice sounds a little vague. While putting tiles together, it is easy to get distracted and miss the big picture. Tile number 2048 is your goal.
For some reason, it appears that two sets of 128 were combined in the above image before anyone realised that those two tiles must be together for the board to function properly. Focusing on the goal of increasing the value of a tile will result in a better outcome.
Combine aggressively downward
If your tiles are clean and organised, you should combine aggressively downward and then return to symmetrically arranging your tiles. If you haven’t been playing for a while, it’s hard to explain this tip. Start a game and keep this in mind while you play. It’s going to be of great assistance. I’ve got your back.
Finding a 16 or 32 tile is easy once you get the hang of 2048, so don’t stress if you find yourself in trouble and can’t find one of those numbers.
Unwanted but easily remedied is the placement of an unneeded tile on the left side of a row of higher-numbered tiles. The only way around this is to put another tile with a higher number on top.
After trapping a 2 in the lower-left corner, moving higher tiles over it can be extremely difficult to correct. Don’t do this. Be aware of the board.
If you have to move right, you may see a 2 or 4 to the left of your highest tile on occasion (since it should your lower left).
Make every effort to raise the value of that tile to the highest one you have. If the tile is particularly tall, this could be particularly challenging.
Raise 1024 if it’s the culprit, but don’t lose sight of 1024 itself.
You can usually fix it if the tile is less than 256.
Damage control is your only option if you’re forced to move your tiles higher. It’s possible, but extremely rare, that it will work in your favour.
